Matrox DualHead2Go: PCを騙してマルチモニタを実現するアダプタ

Matroxから、ビデオカードを追加するのではなく既存のビデオ出力を分岐させるマルチモニタ用アダプタ。(ノート)PCのビデオ出力に接続するとOSからは2048 x 768または2560 x 1024の横長ディスプレイとして認識され、デスクトップを二つの出力ポートから二枚のディスプレイに分割して表示できる。外部出力と本体の画面を独立させられるノートなら3面マルチモニタが実現。

手持ちのPCが2048x768または2560x1024に対応している必要があるものの、画面の分割はアダプタのハードウェアで行われるためPCへの負荷はなし。価格は$169とそれなりだがデュアルヘッドPCカードよりは安く、PC側の拡張ポートを使用しないのが利点？
