ASUS W1 カーボンモデル

ASUSのハイエンドノートPC W1にカーボン素材を採用した限定モデルが登場。たんに上蓋部分や表面に貼り込んだだけではなく、筐体全体がカーボン素材でできている。軽量化や電磁波が云々という説明もあるものの、理由はどう見ても「格好いいから」。

PowerBookと並んでも一歩も引かない外見のほかにも15.4インチでWSXGA(1680x1050)ディスプレイ、Pentium M-750、100GB HDD、ATI Radeon X700 (128MB)、5スピーカにTVチューナーまで内蔵と性能もハイエンド。価格も相応の￡1600、約33万円。
