8GBフラッシュメモリ搭載の新PSPが年内登場？

Digitimesが"market sources"から得たという情報によると、ソニーが8GBフラッシュメモリを搭載した新PSPを今年後半にも投入するとのこと。これまでもHDDを載せた新PSPの噂はありましたが実は大容量フラッシュメモリかも、という新説が登場した様子。

この「根拠」となっているのはサムスン-ソニー間で成立したとされるNANDフラッシュメモリの供給契約。これは8GBフラッシュメモリウォークマンを発売するためと説明されてきましたが、PSPが不振だといろいろ困るソニーとしては価格さえ市場が納得すればPSPに使うことも考えられなくはなさそうです。とはいえソニーとサムスンをキーワードに乱高下を繰り返しているフラッシュメモリ市場関係者がソースということで信頼性はちょっと微妙。
