iAlertU：MacBookのモーションセンサを使った盗難防止アラーム

PowerBook/MacBook内蔵のHDD保護用モーションセンサを利用したソフトにはMac本体を傾けて操作するゲームや水平計ウィジェットなど実用性が疑わしいものもありますが、iAlertUはチルトセンサとiSightを使った盗難防止用アラーム。作者の宣伝によれば本体が持ち上げられたり動かされたことを感知してアラームを鳴らしたり、iSightで撮影した画像を(ネットワークが使えれば)送信するなどの機能を備える(予定)とのこと。

今のところ5分間だけ有効なベータ版がダウンロード可能になっています。正式版は$10のシェアウェアを予定しているそうですが、アラーム中の強制再起動やヘッドホンジャックのオーバーライドさえできれば価格程度の安心は得られるんじゃないでしょうか。
