PalmでもSkypeが(ある意味)利用可能に

PocketPCでは大昔から提供されているSkypeがついにPalm OSデバイスからも(ある意味)利用可能に。といっても正式なPalm OS版Skypeが出たわけではなく、Skype のコンタクトリストを参照できるJ2MEアプリEQO MobileがPCを経由した疑似Skypeコールをサポートしたもの。

疑似、というのはつまりTreoからEQOのサービスを通じて携帯ネットワークで接続、ブリッジしてPC上のSkypeを利用するもの。通話料金的にはともかく、一応Skypeのコンタクトリストにかけたり受けたりインスタントメッセージを送ることはできます。まあ電話として使えているTreo 600/ 650 (700w)でしか使えないサービスなので日本国内のPalm OSユーザにはほとんど無関係。
