シーゲートから垂直磁気記録方式・容量750GBの3.5インチHDD

エンタープライズ向けCheetahに続き、シーゲートが垂直磁気記録方式を採用した3.5インチSATA HDD Barracuda 7200.10を公表。接続はSATA 3Gb/s、7200 RPM、NCQ、16MBキャッシュ、容量は最大750GB。

そろそろ「すいちょくじききろくほうしき」の代わりに垂直ドライブとかあるいは一般化してわざわざ言及の必要がなくなって欲しいと思えてきましたが(「パーペンディキュラー」のほうがまだ短い)、夢のぎゅう詰め技術について知りたい方は日立GSTのflashアニメ「GET Perpendicular」をどうぞ。
