富士通ETERNUS8000：1.36ペタバイトストレージ

富士通が発表した世界最大容量のディスクアレイETERNUS8000。最高位のモデル2100は容量1.36ペタバイトすなわち1,365テラバイト。ギガバイトで言うと140万GBくらい。平均的な120GBのHDDにして約1万1500台分。3.6GHzプロセッサを最大16個内蔵・256GBキャッシュで処理速度も世界最大級。

サポートOSにはWindows 2000も入っていますから、いろいろなものを収集しすぎでそろそろディスク容量がきつくなってきたという方は12月の発売までに1億4695万円とファイバチャネル接続を用意して待ちましょう。
