韓国のスタートアップKowon Technologyから(比較的)安価なHMDが登場。解像度は320×240と低めですが、韓国ではあらゆるものに入っているDMB(日本で言うワンセグ)の解像度とおなじということで電車やなにかで他人から覗き込まれないようにテレビそのほかを見るために、という製品のようです。

重さは58グラム、内蔵バッテリーで8時間駆動。価格は19万9000ウォン、およそ2万3000円くらい。国内での反応を見て欧州・日本・中国での展開も考えているとのこと。安くてもさすがにQVGAではちょっと、と誰もが思うところですがVGA版の発売も予定されているようです。てっきり日本でもiAUDIOシリーズを売っているコウォン(Cowon)がHMDに参入したのかと思ったらこちらは"Kowon"。
