アップルみずから「(ラップトップだけど)あまり膝に載せないでください」と書くMacBook / Proの発熱にはオーナーの誰もが不安に駆られているようですが、本当に故障しているのか仕様なのか確認できるよう皆で熱情報を共有するtempデータベースが立ちあがっています。

DBに含まれるのはMacBook/Proのモデル、CPUクロック、メモリ量、HDD容量・RPM、シリアル、OSバージョン、環境温度、アイドル時・高負荷時のCPU温度・HDD温度など。自分の使っているモデルと室温で検索すればおなじ条件の人の発熱がわかります。さすがにこれはおかしいだろうと不安になった方はアップルに送り返す前に確認してみるといいかもしれません。
