Bluetoothに医療・フィットネス向け新プロファイル

electronicsweekly.comによると、Bluetooth SIGは医療用の新しいプロファイルMedical Device Profileを策定中とのこと。

医療用といっても病院で使われるだけではなく、Bluetooth対応の血圧計やエクササイズ用器具などを標準化するプロファイルのようです。医療・トレーニング器具用といっても血圧・脈拍・体温からNike + iPodのような万歩計までかなり幅広いデータ形式があるような気がしますが、サポートされる範囲・形式などはまだ不明。規格が公開されるのは2007年前半から。
