プレイステーション3 台湾で生産開始

台湾DigiTimesによると、AsustekがPLAYSTATION3の生産を開始、7月頭から少数の初期ロットを(ソニーに)出荷したとのこと。

日本で11月11日、米国で11月17日発売のPS3は立ち上げ200万台、2006年末までに400万台、2007年3月31日までに600万台の生産を予定していますが、最初の400万台はAsusで、さらにFoxconn(鴻海科技集團)が生産に加わると伝えられています。

6月に20万台分の部品が届き7月に「少量を」出荷開始した、とあるだけでどの程度順調かは不明ながら、Asusで作っていると聞くとやや安心です。
