自作PCでBlu-ray再生に必要なもの

AV Watch / PC Watchにて、自作PCでBlu-ray映画(BD-ROM)を再生してみるリポートが掲載されています。組合せは単体で売っているBDドライブと高速なCPU、Blu-rayに対応したプレーヤソフト(WinDVD 8 Platinum)、さらにDRM機構のHDCPに対応したビデオカードおよびディスプレイ。

Blu-rayドライブが10万円近くする現在では仕方がないというべきか、HDCP対応ビデオカードの選択肢がほとんどない、CPUも相当に高速でないと処理が追いつかないなど本来の解像度でBD-ROMソフトを鑑賞するのはまだまだハードルが高いようです。「今回の環境では、ディスプレイ側の性能が今ひとつのため、画質については簡単なインプレッションに留め」られているのがちょっと残念。
