HP iPAQ rx4000 メディア志向になった新iPAQ

HPのPocket PC iPAQに新デザインを採用した「モバイルメディアコンパニオン」ことrx4000が登場。これまでのいかにもPDA的・ビジネス向けな外観からポータブルメディアプレーヤを意識したデザインになり、片手で操作できるスクロールホイールが採用されています。画面サイズは2.8インチで本体も小さめ。

デザインは変わりましたが中身はそのままWindows Mobile 5.0 Pocket PCで、ワードやExcelといったオフィス系も動きます。WiFiとBluetoothもしっかり内蔵でSkypeなどのVoIP通話も可能。

プロセッサスピードやフラッシュメモリ / RAMの量など詳細は不明ですが、アジアでは10月から$300ほどで販売されるとのこと。1GBや2GBの内蔵フラッシュメモリが入ってたりすると面白そうです。
