ルービック‥キューブを解く人型ロボットRubot II

アイルランドのPete Redmond氏製作、ルービックキューブを解くヒューマノイド・ロボットRubot II。頭部のカメラで表面の色を読み取り、シャッフルされたキューブを最大約50秒ほどで解くことができます。

機械にやらせるタスクとしては練習課題程度のものですが、Rubot IIはわざわざ視線を動かせる目の部分にカメラがあったり、手首とヒジのある二本腕でキューブを取りあげたり、スピーカーで「~~サラコナーはどこにいる~~ キューブをシャッフルしてクダサイ」と喋るなどもっと高度な実習に挑む気満々。

当サイトではことあるごとにこのまま放っておくと大変なことになると警鐘を鳴らしてきましたが、Rubotの発明が阻止されなかった時間線に我々が生きているということは、やはりもう手遅れなのかもしれません。
