Wiiでエアコン・照明・AVもコントロール

PCのマウスポインタ・Google Earth・ラジコンカーとなんでも操るWiiリモコンを今度は「スマートホーム」のコントローラにするハック。LiquidIce's Nintendo Wii Hacksで紹介されているのは、WiiのインターネットチャンネルことOperaブラウザに表示させたFlash+ajaxなインタフェイスを通じてLANベースのホームオートメーションをコントロールするというもの。

リモコンで操作できるのは部屋の照明、エアコン、ケーブルテレビやHDDレコーダ(Tivo)、オーディオシステム、セキュリティカメラなどなど。照明はスライダをドラッグして明るさ調節したり、PC上のメディアライブラリのブラウズや検索まで実装されています。

エアコンや照明をLAN制御するにはPCと接続できるIRコントローラが必要だったり、HDDレコーダや音楽・映画ライブラリをブラウズするにはまずサーバ側をなんとかする必要があったりとなかなか敷居は高めですが、一度ブラウザベースでコントロールセンタを作ってしまえばあとはPSPでもインターネットタブレットでも制御可能。真似したくなった方はリンク先へ。
