NVIDIA GoForce 6100　アプリケーションプロセッサ

PortalPlayerを買ったNVIDIAから、携帯やメディアプレーヤといった機器向けのアプリケーション・プロセッサGoForce 6100が発表されました。上の投げやりなレンダリングはQuantaによるGoForce 6100搭載デバイスのコンセプトデザイン。

製品としては250MHz ARMプロセッサコアに各種マルチメディア向けアクセラレータやIFを統合したチップとなり、VGA解像度のH.264やWMV9/VC-1を30fpsで再生可能。802.11b/g/i/eやUSB 2.0/OTG、Sビデオ出力なども一通り入って「現在市場にあるあらゆるアプリケーションプロセッサの半分」の消費電力が売り文句。NVIDIAはハンドヘルド向け開発環境OpenKODEのプロトタイプもデモしています。続きを読む、でインタフェイスの画面写真。
