Apple TVハック：フルバージョンOS Xが起動

アップル製品史上おそらく最速のペースでハックが進むApple TVに(わりとあっさり)聖杯が見つかりました。Hackint0shフォーラムの"semthex"氏が公表した改変カーネルを使うことで、アップルのハードウェア制限を迂回して通常版のOS X 10.4.8を起動できるようになります。動画デモはContinue readingのあと。
　

方法は

バラしてHDDを取り出す(バックアップしておく)。
普通のMacにつなぐ。
OS X (インテル版)をインストール。起動してアップデート＆適当にセットアップ。
カーネルをHackint0sh.orgにあるものと入れ替える(いまのところRapidShareに飛ばされますがそのうちミラーも増えるはず。変なものを拾わないように注意)。
/System/Libary/Coreservices/boot.efiをバックアップしておいたApple TV OSから書き換える。
blessで起動設定(コマンドはこちら)& Nvidiaのカーネルエクステンション(kext)を削除。
Apple TVにHDDを戻して起動。

といった手順。詳細はリンク先へ。OS Xのライセンスについて深く考えなければ普通に買える最も安いMacになります。ビデオがインテル組み込みからNvidia製になっているとはいえメインメモリ256MBでは常用PCにするのはいかがなものかと思われますが、使いどころによっては面白いことができそうです。普通にMacが欲しい人はMac miniを買いましょう。

Geforce 7300ならインテルGMA950の数倍の性能があるはず…Macbookにも積んでくれないかなー…
