STECから3.5インチ 512GB SSD

エンタープライズ向けストレージメーカーのSTECが、3.5インチ型SSD製品 Zeus-IOPSに256GB / 512GBモデルを追加しました。パフォーマンスはサステインドIOPSでリード52000、ライト18000、転送速度でリード200MB/s、ライト100MB/s。インタフェイスはファイバチャネル。

と、まあコンシューマには縁もゆかりもない製品ではありますが、価格は「従来のHDDで同一のパフォーマンスのシステムを組むために必要となる200台分よりは安く」「2012年にはSSDのギガ単価が$2を切るため512GBモデルで$1000程度」。2007年Q3の発売時ではなく2012年の価格を例に挙げるくらい高い、とお考えください。256GB版はすでに販売中。
