東芝gigabeat Vに高精細ワイド画面・大容量モデル

東芝のワンセグ対応gigabeat Vシリーズに、4型ワイド画面搭載の新モデルV401 ・ V801が加わりました。既存モデルV30E / V60Eでは3.5型320x240だったディスプレイが4型480x272となり、V401では40GB・V801では80GBのHDDを内蔵します。対応フォーマットはWMA, WMA9 Lossless, MP3, WAV, WMVと従来通り。WM DRMを使ったサービスにも対応します。予約録画もできるワンセグは受信感度が向上、EPGの操作性も改善。

またバッテリー駆動時間は動画10時間・ワンセグ8時間とそれぞれ1時間ほど延長。従来機種ではモノラルだった内蔵スピーカーもオンキヨーとの共同開発というステレオスピーカーに。以前から搭載されていた高音質化技術H2Cは圧縮時に失われた高音域を補完して原音に近づける"Professional"のほか、小音量時に低音域を強調するDynamicモードが加わりました。H2Cを有効にすると再生時間が3分の1程度に激減していた消費電力も改善され、「従来の2.5倍の再生時間」と大幅に延長されました。

発売は6月1日、直販価格は40GBのV401が4万9800円、80GBのV801が5万9800円。Windows Mobile for PMC終了のお知らせで今後が注目されていたOSはいまのところPMC改良版のまま。今回はZuneのような透過メニューを採用して番組を観つつ操作できるようになっています。
