Xbox 360にBAN対策「ステルス」ファームウェア

Xbox Liveで改造Xbox 360対策が始まった話題、あるいは春のBAN祭りについては先日お伝えしましたが、ハッカー側もすばやく対抗策を考案したようです。新たに公開されたiXtremeファームウェアでは、現在マイクロソフトが用いている探知方法すべて＋将来利用されるかもしれない手法のいくつかを無効化できるとのこと。現在は東芝サムスン製TS-H943ドライブにのみ対応します。

「改造」といってもDVDドライブのファームを書き換えていろいろしていた学究精神の旺盛な方々にしか関係のない話ですが、対策の対策が見つかるまでアップデートもLIVE接続もせず様子をみていた方は試してみてはいかがでしょうか。おそらく秋ごろまでには投入されるであろう対策の対策の対策までは一息つけそうです。
