SanDiskからアルツハイマーと闘うメモリ

アフリカのAIDSなどと闘うチャリティ参加製品にはiPodも参加する真っ赤なPRODUCT REDが有名ですが、アルツハイマー病と闘うAlzheimer's Associationが選んだのは紫色。最初の協賛製品として、SanDiskからUSBメモリcruzerとSDカードの紫色版が登場します。仕様や価格は通常版そのまま、ひとつにつき$1、最大で100万ドルがサンディスクから団体に寄付されるという仕組み。サンディスクからは日本市場向けとして10色展開のカラフルなUSBメモリcruzer color+が登場していますが、こちらはそれぞれ別のチャリティ企画10種類に賛同しているわけではないようです。
