KDDIもPC向け定額データ通信、月額6000円と報道

各紙の報道によると、KDDIは年内にもPC向けデータ定額サービスの提供を予定しているとのこと。要点を総合すると：

速度は最大3.1Mbpsのベストエフォート
京セラ製データ通信カード端末
月額料金は6000円前後、端末は1万円前後
サービス開始は12月末頃

競合サービスにはドコモの天井1万500円+切ない制限つきのHSDPA、イー・モバイルの基本月額5980円で大都市圏カバレッジ、あるいは低速とW-ZERO3でがんばるウィルコム(＋無線LANとPHSのMVNO bモバイル)が存在しますが、auの(あるいはEV-DO Rev.Aの)つながる範囲ならどこでも使えて6000円、妙な制限なしであればあっさりライバルを追い抜くかもしれません。KDDI広報のコメントは「弊社から正式に発表されたものではありません」。
