マイクロソフト、Xbox LIVE接続障害のおわびにゲームを無償提供

クリスマス前の週から約12日ほど続いたXbox LIVEの接続障害について、マイクロソフトがユーザーへの対応をあきらかにしました。Xbox LIVEのジェネラルマネージャMarc Whittens氏(タグ：Notwen)から公表された声明によると、接続困難な期間が続いたお詫びとして、すべてのXbox LIVEユーザにXbox LIVEアーケードのダウンロード購入タイトルを無償提供するとのこと。

Major Nelsonによれば、対象は有料のゴールド会員だけでなく無料のシルバー会員も含むLiveアカウント保持者全員。プレゼントされるタイトルは"a Xbox LIVE Arcade game"としか表現されていないものの、追って詳細が発表されることになります。

During this past holiday season you helped us break a number of Xbox LIVE records. This included our largest sign-up of new members to Xbox LIVE in our 5 year history and just yesterday you broke the record for the single biggest day of concurrent members ever on the service.
