RAID対応の手のひらNAS LinkStation Mini

バッファローから、小型サイズで容量1TBのNAS LinkStation Mini LS-WS1.0TGL/R1が登場します。本体はW40×H82×D135mm ・ 約500g。2.5インチの500GB HDDを2台内蔵しており、RAID 0またはRAID 1(ミラーリング)に対応します。冷却ファンを持たない静音設計のほか、PCの電源を落とすと待機モードに入るPC電源連動機能も搭載。

NASとしてはFTPサーバに加えてDLNA ・iTunesに対応したメディアサーバも内蔵します。またバッファロー独自サイトを経由してリモートからアクセスできる「Webアクセス」は従来のファイル読み込みだけでなくリモートからのアップロードにも対応しました(でもPC連動電源機能とは両立せず)。USBポート x1はプリンタ共有およびデジタルカメラやメモリカードなどマスストレージデバイス内のファイルをPC不要でバックアップする「ダイレクトコピー」に使用できます。

出荷は3月下旬、希望小売価格は8万5000円。ミラーリングにして容量500GBとして使えば片方のHDDが故障してもデータは保たれますが、「お客様ご自身でのHDD交換はできません。故障時はサポートセンターへ送付ください。」
