WWDC2008速報:iPhone2.0には手書き文字認識、かな入力搭載

iPhone2.0には手書き文字認識機能が搭載されることになりました。中国語~~と日本語~~の入力に使われます。また手書きと同様に画面がリークされていた「かな入力」(いわゆるケータイ入力)もサポートされます。入力以外でも多言語サポートが強化された模様です。

これらのアップデートは iPhone オーナーには無料で、iPod touch オーナーには $9.95 で販売される予定。

追記: 信頼できる情報筋に確認したところ、手書き入力は現在中国語のみのサポートとのことでした。

「中国語入力のデモで披露された手書き入力機能が日本語モードでは利用できないことだ。日本語の入力は従来のQWERTYキーボードモードと、追加された10キーモードの2つということらしい。」

と、ありますが、どちらが本当なのでしょう？
