動画：Moblin 2.1 実機デモ、スマートフォンにも対応

インテルがIntel Developer Forum（IDF）で発表した Moblin 2.1 の実機動画をお送りします。これまでは主にネットブック / ネットトップ向けとして語られてきたMoblinですが、次期バージョンの2.1ではスマートフォンにも対応。iPhone OS / Windows Mobile / Android / webOS / Symbian / BlackBerry OS......とすでに供給過剰ぎみのモバイルOS戦争は激しさを増すばかりです。

ただし残念ながらIDFではMoblin携帯は見つからず。動画ではいわゆるMID（インテル用語：Mobile Internet Device）でMobile 2.1が動作しています。Linuxベースなのでアプリ資産がすでにたくさんあり、開発のために独自仕様を学ぶ必要が（あまり）ないというのは他のプラットフォームにない大きなアドバンテージ。日本のスマートフォン市場にもぜひ乗り込んで来て欲しいものです。
