Great review/spotlight, Laura. I find there's a lot of innovative touches in Emitown, and that it's a true pleasure to read, for many of the reasons you've listed.

Well I won't lose sleep! Moore has openly threatened to sue anyone who makes false, misleading or otherwise liable comments about him or his film. So if someone is suing him for making false or misleading repesentations in his productions, then you get what you deserve Mr. Moore. Any great Moore fan who worships every word he says should actually do some google-ing and read up how he manipulates the truth to make a point. Take Bowling for Columbine:
1) They don't hand out guns in a bank when you open an account. First, you get a voucher for a gun to pick it up for a store. They don't hand a rifle to you over the bank counter! Second, the bank is required by law to conduct state and federal criminal checks before issuing the voucher. Third, rifles are rarely indicated in street violence/death. Handguns are the big problem, not hunting rifles.
2) Did you remeber the story about the single-mum-on-welfare whose son took his uncles gun to school and shot another student. a) The uncle had various firearm offences. b) the uncle failed to secure the weapons according to laws - especially now that he had children in the house! c) He was a convicted drug dealer. d) The single mum we are supposed to sympathise with had children without a steady partner or husband and then turned to the govt for welfare.

Now who is to blame for this mess? The republicans: because they introduced a work-for-welfare plan which reduced her ability to supervise her children before they went to school!!! Now you can understand why conservatives always argue that lefties continually deflect blame and are absolutely unwilling to accept personal responsibility in favour of shifting blame to some sort of government insufficiency.
