マイクロソフト、Xbox 360ソフトウェアを一新、アバター・HDDインストール導入

マイクロソフトのE3基調講演にて、Xbox 360ソフトウェアの完全な一新が発表されました。まず本体メニューにあたるダッシュボードは3Dスライドを採用した新デザインとなり、WiiのMiiを微妙にリアル寄りにしたような3Dアバターが導入されます。アバターは従来の「ゲーマーカード」に統合され似顔絵アイコン的な使われ方のほか、最大8人までのアバターを招待できるプライベートチャット「Live Party」機能、あるいはパーティーゲームやカードゲームなどに従来のゲーマーアイコンに替わって表示されるなどコミュニティ機能の強化に役割を果たします。

またメッセンジャー機能やボイスチャット、フォトシェアリングなど、コミュニティより機能が大幅に進化するのも特徴です。さらにダッシュボードの強化としては、ディスクベースのゲームをHDDインストールしてロード時間(と光学ドライブの轟音)を解消する機能、従来のXbox LiveウェブインターフェースにXbox Liveマーケットプレースが加わりPCなどのブラウザからコンテンツの購入が可能になるなどさまざまな機能が追加されます。導入は今年の秋から。

実機での動作ではないようですが。

一番注目すべきは0:31付近、解説文画面を一瞬でスルーされる瞬間ですね！
