Zubbles: 遂に完成した七色のシャボン玉

鮮やかな七色のシャボン玉。これまでも染料や中の空気を細工して作った色つきシャボン玉はあったが、ほぼ不透明なほど強い発色のものは世界初らしい。

10年間の研究の末"Zubbles"を発明したTim Kehoe氏いわく、薄い膜でもはっきりと見えるようにすることはもちろん、一番困難だったのは服やものに付いても染みを残さない染料の開発だったとのこと。

Zubblesに使われている新しい染料は非常にあざやかでありながら染みや汚れにならないのが特徴で、「付着した表面によって数分から数時間で透明になる」。

実際の写真はこちら。動画を見ると遠目にもはっきりと分かるくらい鮮やか(なにかややこしい手間をかけて色を調節していないとして)。

一般発売は2006年春から。
