インテルiMacでLinuxが起動

Mactel-LinuxプロジェクトがCore Duo iMacでのGentoo Linux起動に成功した様子。インテルマックもサポート(したいです)と宣言していたRed Hatの手を借りることもなく、Linux用EFI対応ブートローダeliloを使いUSBハードディスクから起動させたもの。まだ起動したというだけの段階のようですが、Duoだからちゃんと2匹いるのが確認できます。

Windows XPの起動にはしばらくかかるだろうといわれていますが、インテルMacでXPを走らせる方法を公開したら賞金サイトではいまのところ約140万円がプールされています。腕に覚えのある方、あるいは賞金を積み上げてやろうという方はこちらもチェック。
