USBのぞき見防止フード

外界を完全に遮断してコンピュータの世界に没頭できる「コンピュータ中毒者のためのフード」。デザインはロンドンRoyal College of Artでインタラクティブデザインを研究するJoe Malia氏。

覗き見防止効果もあり。屋外でノートPC用に使えば日光を遮り映り込みも防ぎます。

視覚だけではなく、フードの中に仕込まれたPC接続ヘッドホンで音も遮断。何か用がある外界の人間のため後頭部には音声に反応するマイク付き("SPEAK"と書いてある赤丸部分)。マイクに向かって話された内容は直接ヘッドホンから聞こえて割り込むのではなく、前面から伸びるUSBケーブルを通じてPCに音声ファイルとして保存されてあとから参照できる仕組み。

写真のインパクトがありすぎるので単なるふざけたアートに思えますが(いやまあ実際そうですが)、後半の「作業中に話しかけられても音声ファイルになって後から対応できる」機能は普通に欲しいと思う人も多そうです。高解像度HMDが欲しかった人にもおすすめですが、外で使うと周りの人が多少動揺するかもしれません。
