トヨタが跳ねる一足歩行ロボットを開発

本家経由ムンバイ・ミラー紙によると、トヨタが一本脚で飛び跳ねるロボットを開発。身長1メートルほどのこのロボットはヒザ部分と足(つまさき)部分の関節で約4cmジャンプすることができ、その場ジャンプだけでなく方向も変えられるとのこと。

車輪にも二足歩行にも優る一本足移動ロボットの先駆けとなる......わけではなく、二足歩行ロボットにこの技術を取り入れることによってさらに運動性を増すことができる、のが意義のようです。

余談ですが、Wikipediaの英語版にから傘お化けの項目があるだけでなく、「付喪神」への統合が議論されていることを知りなんだか感動しました。
