Wii リモコン、今度はテレビに突き刺さる

北米各地で華々しい戦果を挙げ、日本でもストラップ締め忘れで東芝レグザを破損するなど活躍を続けるWiiリモコンに新たな伝説が加わりました。Wiiリモコンの戦績を記録するサイトWii Damageによれば、米国West Virginiaの"Tyler"さんの手から発射されたWiiリモコンは27型ブラウン管テレビの枠部分に大穴を穿って突き刺さったとのこと。

ソフトは「もっとも危険なゲーム」ランキング首位に君臨するWiiスポーツ：ボウリング。その場に居合わせたという友人によれば普段は時計回りのスピンをかけるところをこのときは反時計回りにしたのが原因のひとつでは......とわりとどうでもよい分析がされています。

念のため追記。Wiiリモコンは衝撃で蓋が外れ電池が飛び出たものの、入れ直したあとは何の問題もなく機能したようです。
