バッファローから「TurboUSB」搭載のUSBメモリ

バッファローから、実効転送速度を最大約16%向上させるという"TurboUSB"機能を搭載したUSBメモリ RUF-CSシリーズが発表されました。外付け/ポータブルHDD製品でも採用されていたTurboUSBは、転送方法の最適化によってUSB2.0の実効転送速度を上げるという技術。HD Benchで100MBのシーケンシャルリードを計測したという結果ではTurboUSB 無効時が約31.8MB/秒、有効時が約37.0MB/秒となっています。

そのほかはまあ普通のUSBメモリ。本体にライトプロテクトスイッチを備え、キャップ紛失問題にはメモリのうしろにはめられるようにして対処。付属ソフトは暗号化のSecure Lock Ware、ClipDriveセキュリティ、データ復旧ソフトのファイナルデータ無料試供版(解析のみ)。

容量は128MBから8GBまで。カラーバリエーションとの組合せはリンク先をどうぞ。出荷は6月中旬、価格はオープン。

この形状はUSB端子とケースで、てこの原理が働いて内部基板を破損しやすいのが短所。頻繁に使う用途だと１年もたないよ。私は同形状で半年程度の利用なのに３個壊してる。
