次期主力iPodは「iPod Touch」、OS X搭載？

そろそろ登場してほしい新iPodのうわさ。先日ちょっと太めの「3G iPod nano」の写真を掲載していた9to5MacおよびAppleInsiderによれば、次期フラッグシップiPodは「iPod Touch」という名称になり、あるバージョンのOS Xを搭載する(らしい)とのこと。

ジョブズ総帥の革命前夜演説でもOS X搭載iPod(群)の開発は触れられていた(とされている)ことからいずれiPhone的なiPodが登場するのは目新しい話ではありませんが、気になるのは「iPod Touch」のほう。フラッグシップが「iPod」ではなく正式に2語になるのか、「iPod (photo)」や「iPod (video)」のような位置づけなのか。

仮に「タッチ」が本当だとして、すでに似たような名前のデバイスを出している会社と前回とおなじようなもめ事にならないことを祈ります。まあまた互換性を要求されれば逆に世のためになるかもしれません。

噂系で流れてるnanoの新型の画像が本物なら
