MSI Wind U100 ・ Acer Aspire one 分解リポート

Eee PCのライバルと呼ばれるMSI Wind、Acer Aspire oneの分解リポートが各所に掲載されはじめています。Bit-TechのWind分解はバッテリーを外して開腹、無線ミニカードを抜いてHDD (2.5インチのWD Scorpio)を取り外す、Atomとノースブリッジを冷やしているファン(上の写真では左側)まで外してメイン基板の裏側にアクセスするまでを比較的分かりやすく解説する3ページ記事。内部構造はかなり洗練されているらしく、Eee PC に比べれば分解も組み直しも楽な一方無駄なスペースがほとんどないため何か仕込む系の改造には不向き。

1GBのメモリは基板に直付けになっているものの空きSO-DIMMスロットがひとつあり、メモリ増設のために本体ケースを開けた場合、(少なくとも米MSIでは)登録ユーザーなら「破ると保証無効」シールを再発行してくれるようです。Aspire Oneのほうは中国語のmobile01フォーラムに投稿されたもの。解像度は低いもののそれなりに写真の枚数はありデバイスマネージャやチップの型番も撮ってくれているものの、顔アイコン多用の適当な解説と画像が全部別リンクなので解読はやや面倒です。
