Acer Aspire one、国内では予約者に行き渡らず ・米国では値下げ

エイサーのミニノートAspire oneは安価なミニノートとして各地域で人気を集めていますが、明日23日の発売を控えた国内では日本エイサーの「当初の予想を遥かに上回るご予約」が入ったため台数が足りず、予約者の一部には発売日に製品が届かない状況になっているとのこと。平謝りに詫びるエイサーのプレスリリースいわく、「製品の増産を急遽対応、随時入荷の予定がございます」。

さて、太平洋を挟んだお隣の米国でもAcer Americaがプレスリリースを発表しています。そちらの内容は米国ですでに人気機種となっているAspire oneの小売価格を値下げするもの。具体的には、国内版とほぼおなじAtom N270 / 1GB RAM / 120GB HDD / 3セルバッテリー / Windows XP構成のモデルが従来の399ドルから349ドル (約3万8000円)、OSにLinpus Linuxを搭載したモデルは329ドル (約3万5800円)。

同時にビジネス・教育分野向けに6セルバッテリーと160GB HDDを搭載したモデルも発表されており、こちらは従来の標準モデルとおなじ399ドルで販売されます。米国では9月からの新学期に備えたいわゆるBack to School 商戦期を迎えており、値下げでさらに台数拡大を狙う意気込みのようです。国内版のAspire oneは5万4800円くらい。
