USB 3.0準拠・認証プログラム開始、対応製品登場へ

USBの規格化団体 USB Implementers Forum（USB-IF）がUSB 3.0の準拠・認証プログラムを開始しました。このプログラムに合格した製品は晴れてSuperSpeed USB / USB 3.0対応を名乗ることが可能になります。つまりUSB 3.0対応製品の登場もあとすこし、ということ。来年早々のCESあたりで一挙お目見えでしょうか。1.0と2.0のケーブル仕様は同一でしたが、3.0は後方互換性を持つものの仕様は異なりますので、ロゴと端子部だけでは見分ける自信がないという方はいまのうちに手持ちのケーブルに印でも付けておくと良いかもしれません。
